The "TEATRO DEL RAYO" Alternative Theatre Hall was inaugurated in June,1996 by the Laboratory Theater Group "EL RAYO MISTERIOSO", and it is an independent space that works as the Seat of all its activities.
It was located at a first moment in Buenos Aires St. 990 (Rosario-Argentina). Spectacles, Movies Screening, Workshops Demonstrations are programmed in the Room. In 1997 it was carried out a test edition of the "EXPERIMENTA TEATRO" Festival.
In the month of June, 2000, the Group moves its seat to the address San Martín 473, with the objective of extending the possibilities of growth and development of its Project.
After two months of construction, on August 17th, 2000 the New Seat of the " TEATRO DEL RAYO" Theatre opened its doors with the following spaces and activities: Two Theater Halls- "Antonin Artaud" and "Jerzy Grotowski" -, with shows programming of and workshops demonstrations. The “Julian Beck" Hall, destined to the Performance Training and theatrical education, the Art Gallery "Tadeusz Kantor" and the Library “Biblioteca del Rayo".
Shows Programming of different tendencies in scenic arts, Students demonstrations of "TALLER DEL RAYO" Workshops, Visual Arts Exhibitions and Cinema Screening. Organization between the 7 and the 13 December of every year, of “Experimenta Teatro”, Alternative Meeting of Groups.SPACES
